nang3 12" member Donating Members 2,107 Member For: 19y 5m 8d Location: Perth WA Posted 13/07/07 02:35 AM Share Posted 13/07/07 02:35 AM all right guys ive finally succumbed to the missus and agreed to redo the kitchen so I need some contacts??anyone here from Perth and a cabinet maker/work in a kitchen company/ recommend a kitchen company to get a quote from?? we've had a couple of quotes and to say inflated is an understatement !!wont be anything too fancy, about 3-4 sets of 800mm cupboards with 1 corner cupboard, 1 oven unit, and 1 set of 750mm wide cutlery drawers with soft shut things or something..Will need all carcasses/doors and stone benchtops.. I can arrange the benchtops if need be and will gladly pay cash straight into someones pocket rather than the ATO bitchesIm going to love burning my mod money!!! I want to leading kitchen company in sydney and they quoted me 28,000 and I said gee that's a bit steep, the guy quoting took one breath then quoted me 25,000! I told him he had no chance getting my business seeing that he was prepared too try and screw me for 3,000 minimum just like that. End of story is I was able to get whole kitchen done for 13,000. nang3 12" member Donating Members 2,107 Member For: 19y 5m 8d Location: Perth WA Posted 15/07/07 01:30 AM Author Share Posted 15/07/07 01:30 AM hey buddy,nice kitchens there mate!Our kithen is a basic U shaped one, no overheads or pantry doors or anything and the average quote for the following has been around $8-10k ;starting from furthest left of U and heading clockwise.1 x 800mm cupboard1 bank 3 x 750mm drawers with soft close.1 x dishwasher recess1 x bin recess1 x 45mm x 45mm corner unit no lazy susans etc1 x 750mm cupboard1 x 750mm cupboard with sink recess1 x oven unit @ 45deg angle1 bank 3 x 900mm drawers no soft close @ 45deg angle to complete U shapestyle 1 gloss doors.. it averages out at about $1000 per unit which I cant see justified anywhere !!!
