awlh Member 2 Member For: 15y 5m 10d Posted 10/09/09 01:26 PM Share Posted 10/09/09 01:26 PM '04 XR6T with 160,000 in five years just gone (kinda snuck up on me as I wasn't going to keep it this long - I just liked it too much to want to get rid of it)The car's been great but it's starting to show its age now.Things that are starting to go wrong and have just or are yet to be fixed: Tranny (4sp auto) - starting to clunk badly and can take up to 4 seconds to find reverseSuspension work - ball joints, lower control arm bushes, rear shocks, rear upper control arm bushesBrakes - rotors are cactus - they were just machined in April however were too thin to keep their shapeConstant pressure valve hose fitting snapped off in the air inlet manifoldClimate control damper solenoid to control airflow at your face has died (complete dash out job for a $5 part I've heard!)The good news is that because I've kept it so long, it owes me nothing and I'm now about to replace it as my daily drive. Now I can have a bit of a tinker with it...(do the boys and girls at home know how to spell project car?)

Its an 2002 with 106,400km when I bought it, I've done about 500km in the last two weeks.

The Late model camira 6 speed auto doesn't compare to the ZF.Picked the FG up 10th March '09, 17,500kms now, lovin' it.
