'04 XR6T with 160,000 in five years just gone (kinda snuck up on me as I wasn't going to keep it this long - I just liked it too much to want to get rid of it)

The car's been great but it's starting to show its age now.

Things that are starting to go wrong and have just or are yet to be fixed:

Tranny (4sp auto) - starting to clunk badly and can take up to 4 seconds to find reverse

Suspension work - ball joints, lower control arm bushes, rear shocks, rear upper control arm bushes

Brakes - rotors are cactus - they were just machined in April however were too thin to keep their shape

Constant pressure valve hose fitting snapped off in the air inlet manifold

Climate control damper solenoid to control airflow at your face has died (complete dash out job for a $5 part I've heard!)

The good news is that because I've kept it so long, it owes me nothing and I'm now about to replace it as my daily drive. Now I can have a bit of a tinker with it...(do the boys and girls at home know how to spell project car?)

2003 BA XR6Turbo = 135,000km (all mine as owned from new).

Pickup the new FG on Tuesday. BA goes very cheap to the dealer as a trade.

Yeah you get sh*t all for them when you trade in, I just got a BA XR6 (NA unfortunately) and the original owners traded it in on a Mazda 6months ago and only got 7k for it, I paid 14k for it privately. Its an 2002 with 106,400km when I bought it, I've done about 500km in the last two weeks.

My July build 07 BF MKII bought brand new has 50,000..and is up for sale.

Family requires a wagon... but I'm lookin at the SS-V Sportwagon..!!

If you've got an auto, don't get an auto Commodore, get a manual. The Late model camira 6 speed auto doesn't compare to the ZF.

Picked the FG up 10th March '09, 17,500kms now, lovin' it.
