Just tipped 85,000 ks and going better than ever. The engine seems to be really opening up.Warranty repairs so far: minor leak from power steering pump (replaced seal - no charge), rattle from heat shield near transmission (removed and replaced - no charge). Etheridge FORD Ringwood does all the servicingCar is stock and I drive it hard but despite this it's going strong as!Just to compare.....my AU I XR6 VCT, I blew the diff at 35,000kms, needed new front discs at 45,000 ks and my BA MKI XR8 had a "stretched timing chain" at 60,000kms. They must be making the XR's stronger these days. One thing I've noticed is that for the first 40,000 ks or so I ran it on 98 PULP and it was rougher and harder to get the clutch changes really smooth. Since then I've gone back to 95 PULP and it just seems so much better.....a bit less power but much smoother. Anyone else noticed this?
