Different material/heating strategy?R&D mate, that's all.If they wanted to, they could, but Ford are choosing the easy and low cost option of importing a generic engine, relying on the volume buyers to know SFA about engines and torque @ rpm values, but only focus on price of the car and fuel consumption Just sad to see more skilled jobs lost, as this is FOREVER.What about the V8, are they going to kill that all together? They are iron blocks as well.

Given fords brilliant quality control as a base to work off I'm sure that will now improve out of site given that the people that will be building the engines have all been told there getting sacked
