If you push the button once that turns off DSC. If you hold the button down it turns off both DSC and traction control. I'm pretty sure that's right

that's what I've been told as well.

Do utes have DSC?

Or is this something only people with IRS have?

DSC comes with ABS, no IRS, No ABS, no DSC...pretty sure that's right but correct me if I'm wrong.

BF II doesn't have separate TC and DSC - one button, one light. pushing it quickly doesn't turn off either. Holding it down for one second turns off both.

ABS is completely separate and can't be turned off (I have it on good authority if you pull out the fuse the body computer has a cow!)

The above is accurate for the BFs that came STD with the DSC (I have one) - not sure what the ones were like when it was a factory option.

I thort the fpv's didnt come with DSC at all, that's why Expensive Daewoo made such a fuss about it?

I cant say ive felt it kick in, I have def felt traction control kick in - daily!

I'm confused now, very..

Yes I'm fairly certain you're right the FPV's don't come with DSC. Can't remember the reason behind it now.

Zapper will be along shortly...I can recall him getting rather vocal about it :spoton:

Something to do with them not being bothered with spending the extra $'s to calibrate it for the large wheel/brake combos or something

Tabbie, You have a great memory on the going on on this forum :spoton:

The FPV range DO NOT have DSC, as FPV deemed it to costly to have them calibrated for the brake/wheel combos that FPV offer.

I also tried to get the TC button reversed with Edit, but they could not do it. This was a couple of years ago, so they may have sorted it out by now.

I have a series 1 BF, and I have only one light for DSC/TC. Pressing and holding makes the DSC/TC light flash but I haven't been able to verify what this means. Maybe if I get the car onto a skid pan ......

that's right, that's what mine does too.

Here is what I've been told happens on our cars:

1) Press the button for under half a second and the light turns on. This turns off traction control

2) Hold the button for about 1 second and the light turns on and flashes. This turns off traction control and DSC.

Now I cant verify that DSC turns off in step two, but I can definitely say that step one definitly is true.
