Just wondering of those people that have the GSS-341 Walbro - how loud is yours??

Mine is very loud - can't hear it when driving, but when stationery or outside the car you can hear the whine a mile away.

What are others like?

Well, I had some running issues (nothing major) so I thought I would pull the pump and make sure the fuel line was good, etc. I did use Gates, and it was no surprise to see it in as good condition as when it went in (go the Gates!).

BUT, what I did notice is that when I put it back the whine has gone!

What I think has happened is when it was installed the first time the pump itself must not have been sitting quite right and may have be vibrating against the side of the pot, causing the whine to basically resonate. When I have put it back it it must be sitting just right - quiet as a mouse.

Me = very happy!

Cheers

Dan

Despite it being loud is it a good reliable pump

Are you guys getting good results

I put one in and it is working great! Tuner said it was pretty good, and don't notice the noise over my stereo - either that or I just got used to it. I am running 270rwkw and it seems to be fine.
