Yours won't wear out the clutches nor damage the band based on the way I've done the shift presures in ther box, rather than reling on shift ramp alone

I've found when your car axle tramps during wheelspin is when the plantrys cop a beating the most. That's the only thing you have to avoid.

I have had my 2 BAs done by Preston Autos and the work is 2nd to none! My car runs 331rwkw and l do drive it hard (as you would expect to) the auto was done by Andrew 2yrs ago and is still to the day as strong as the 1st day l drove it out from there workshop. I don't have an auto oil cooler on it and l get it serviced every 6 months. I can't stress enough how good these guys are.

I cant really remember what were the issue with the stock boxs

but I remember the bands have snaped and cluthes were burnt I think

it was.

the new boxs andrew and stan fitted said was to hold upto 300- 330rwkw.

which is more then enough for me.

which costed me $2300 he even offered to pay half for the towing

from the other side of melbourne they really are great bunch of guys.

cant wait to really open the boxs up and really test it. :stirthepot:

Preston Automatic work is really second to none! they go threw everything with you

what was wrong with the boxs to giving you tips on how to drive the modfied auto.

eg: in manual mode 1st and 2nd gear has to be streched right out to 5000+RPM

and to never down shift to slow down.

the auto trans cooller they fitted on my is massive it seats right frm the top of the top grill

to nearly the bottom of the cooler.

now it's time to stick the big sticker on the back window PRESTON AUTOMATICS :stirthepot:

Preston Autos do great work - they did the 4speed on my ute which was running 330rwkw at the time. Nice fellas to deal with too.

Yep I have been dealing with Stan and Andrew for years now and have done a lot of development on the 4 speed with them. Down shifting is the worst thing to do to your auto. Andrew always says that is what your brakes are for! It's cheaper to change brake pads than overhaul your auto.

By downshifting he means engine braking. I have had a lot of rebuilds along the way but the current one has lasted the longest and is hold very well with tunes between 370rwkw and 430rwkw
