Ebay Intercoolers

I've noticed there are a few very nice looking stage 2 coolers on ebay that sell for a really great price. but is there anyone on here that has had 1st hand experience with these brands?

I have no mods to my car apart from a better breathing c.a.I and was intending to get a stage 2 cooler and hook it up with one of those process west or APS adaptor ic pipes. Theres obviously a huge price difference in brands like this and a plazmaman one.

think you will find these coolers involve a fair bit of work to fit

change battery and air box to opposite sides

and you would need to do an edit with custom tune to make it worth doing

and probably bigger injecters

depends what your chasing if its just to cool intake a bit more better off just going for a f6 cooler

if its power I would start with the edit first

Ok..

I wasn't after huge power as yet. wasn't wanting to change my injectors as my cars only a few months old.

I just thought it would be ideal to get a stage 2 cooler first off and save money and time. instead of going through a stage 1 cooler, then a stage 2 cooler and having to get rid of the other cooler etc etc..

but anyhow . I was more so interested to see if these ebay coolers are cheap because they are cheaply made. or are a bargain.

I suggest you do some reaserch into what you want before you buy anything.

tube and fin/ bar and plate/cheap cast chinese/quality australian made/ flow vs pressure drop.

there is heaps in it.

You are better off getting a cooler that is made for the XR, a lot less hassle in the long run. Save your dollars and get a stage 2 kit from plazman or Process west. you wont regret it.

My cheap and nasty ebay cooler seems to shame alot of cars on our cruises...

They work, its a proven fact... you just have think outside what everyone else does

LOL, but its what you do with it that counts, piping, intakes ect... the cooler is just the part that cools the charge... you have to have flowww
