Hi all,

Been lurking for many years. As soon as the XR6T was released I saw a replacement for my aging VL turbo. Finally put the funds together and got an ex-Government BF XF6T, funnily enough from the Department of Education and Training. Beats me why anyone in that department would want one..anyhow my gain.

Bought the car on the 9th of June 2007 and this is quite weird, I registered my user on the site on 9th of June 2003.

Painful to say but the VL would eat my XR6T in it's current form, but now I've got one in my hands it won't take long to reverse the situation. :-)

Hoping to participate in the next drive too.

Regards to all.

Andrew.

Likewise. I've been lurking too. (till now). I used to drive a Turbo VL Calais many years ago as well, there has just been no real replacement for it till now. Got rid of it after I got married mainly because I noticed that there was a shortage of spares. I'm picking up my XR6T next week. It had only 5000km on it courtesy of the Baptist Church. I'd say your good fortune was attributed to the fact that not all pubes are wowsers and know a good car when they see one. Since I am a pube, I can vouch first hand for that statement. Good luck and happy driving

The T is generations ahead of the VL, You will not miss the VL after a few weeks.
