Engine Breaking/cutting Power..

Hello,

My Edited T is experiecing a strange problem. The only thing that has changed is the cold weather.

It can happen at light throttle/low revs and continue all the way through the rev range. I can be cruising at 60km with the lightest throttle and it will occure. It happens in any gear. After car has been warmed up it will still occure.

The closest thing I can compare it to is the feeling you get when traction control comes on and it cuts power to the engine. Happens if TC is off or on and light does not come on when it happens

It also can happen when the car is stationary and I just rev the car. One thing maybe worth noting is you get kind of a reverb/change in exhaust note when it happens.

I have changed the boost solenoid thinking it was this. I took it back to my tuner last week who said it was torque parametres and had to play with these.I dont understand how this could of just come on, It does it on all my tunes. My tuner said he fixed it and car was going ok for couple days but has started doing it again. (To be honest I dont think he actually experienced it when the car was there.)

I will take it back to the tuner and see what they say.

My Mods:

968 injectors

Process West intercooler

Valve Springs

290rwkw ( was running 276rwkw when problem 1st started and Tuner got some more power for me)

Any suggestions or anyone had this problem before??

Id say fuel pump mine was doing the same thing sort of, mine was only doing it in high revs. But when it did happen it was making that sound like the traction was on like you said and the exhaust note to. My first tuner also said the car was fine but it keeped doing it untile I made them do the pump

Now that you mention fuel pump.. I can remember prior to this problem that after the car was driven for a while/hard, there would be a strong smell of fuel. ie sitting at the lights with window open. This was more noticiable in the hotter weather. Not sure if its normal or related to this current problem. Also my fuel econemy is absolutly crap. I used to get 330/300km per tank and now getting 250

yep, sounds about the same as mine... was supposed to get it looked at last week, but didnt. If you get it sorted let me know what it is, I think mine might be the pump aswell but am not 100%
