Go the Phantom. Congrats Dagabond. You'll love it.

My first full day as a new owner and I had guys from nearby factories and couriers all gathering around and giving it the thumbs up.

My new toy.

Couple of quick shots from the run home out past the you yangs.

Oh great, another Phantom. :D

YAY!!

Seriously, onya dude, that's a damn nice machine, I'm just peaved that I have to wait until Jan/Feb and it's all Fords fault. I should have been driving around in my "XR" practically 2 weeks ago by now. Not at all happy.

Careful sitting it on top of dry long grass. Catalytic converter may start yet another bushfire.

Looks great Dagabond. How did it go on that road. It always blows me away to see roads as straight as that one. Looks like you could test if the speed limiter is real or not. lol

Without saying to much it rides a lot better at 'higher' speeds than it does at 'lower' speeds  , the steerings nice and tight and the float tends to level out. The gear shift as has been mentioned elsewhere is a little strange but nothing to complain about it's just going to take a little getting used too.

Coming from a Torana (driven daily for 2 years) the road noise is a bit more than i expected from a new car. The boot could do with a bit more sound proofing that would eleviate this problem, it's strange that the bonnet has a heat shield/sound proofing on it but the boot is just the under skin with nothing on it.

Other than that and no dedicated mp3 player i have found it to be an excellent car so far, love the ride, love the handling, love the response, love the fit of the interior, love the features all nicely placed at arms length, love the colour, love the mean ass looking front.

What more can i say I LOVE THE CAR!!
