Is that entirely city driving? Sounds about right if it is. They are very thirsty in slow moving traffic. You will get up to 600km from a full tamk on the open road.

As above, we're only getting 340Kms to a full tank in a BA MKII Turbo.

any reason why??? and has it happened to others, car has no mods at all.

How manys k's has it done? are the tail pipes very black and sooty? may pay to throw a new 02 sensor at it?

have you checked the basic like tire pressure, air filter, fuel filter? when was it last serviced?

That is 20 Litres per 100km !!!!!!

The worst I ever got around town was 15.5 Litres per 100km .

Most times I get 13 to 13.5 Litres around town or even less at times.

Highway 10 Litres no Problem at all.

These numbers I got from filling my tank to the top and then work it out from there.

My Car is a MK11 6 speed manual.

sounds like a good sales pitch for an edit and custom tune.

I'm averaging 12.4 litres/100 km's around town but do manage to avoid peak hour traffic most of the time.

That is my normal fuel economy 18-20lt/100km, so I am used to getting that sort of distance from both of my Turbo Fords.

It is all how you drive and when. My trip to work is only 5 mins in traffic, so it is just up to operating temp when I get to work. This increases the fuel consumption as it is always on a cold cycle.

GEtting a custom Edit tue would reduce the consumption.

Its not in peak trafic most of the time. In canberra and start early and finish early so not really slow moving at all. It was just serviced 3'000 ago and the pipe is,nt sooty I dont think.

Well in that case you should be getting around 450km to a full tank. When you say a "full tank" is that what you really mean? I know some people who fill up when their fuel guage is at 1/4 and they say "full tank" - well it isn't is it?

Have you done accurate fuel usage calculations? - from the bowser and your odometer - not your car's DTE or average economy readout. What economy l/100km does it actually get?

Might help if you guys can post your average speed that your car displays and the kms you are getting out of a tank. Not all city driving is the same

average speed for me is 31km and I am seeing about 380km out of a tank at the most, most times 340km
