I have a reasonable list of cars ...

1. 1979 Ford Courier - 1.8 litres of 4sp column shift fury

2. 1988 Ford courier 2.2lt single cab

3. 1983 Mazda 323 Twin Carb - was a fare bit of fun

4. 1993 Ford Laser Gl 1.6

5. 1980 Ex-hwy Persiut xD Falcon 351 Clevo with 4sp top load and 9" Diff - went like the clappers, but only about 300km from 90 litres!! :stirthepot:

6. 1985 Laser S 1.5 (the mrs car)

7. 1994 Laser 4wd 1.8 Turbo - did a bit of work, stroked and bored to 2ltr with JE forged pistons, 16psi boost about 150Kw at the ground

8. 1990 Laser 1.8 Ghia (the mrs car)

9. 1999 AU 'S' Pack 5sp man 5ltr

10. KE30 Corolla - 4AGE supra engine with celica 5sp box- being transformed into a track car

11. 2004 XR6 T in Phantom - couldn't be happier

Guess I'm a sucker for a ford...

Cheers,

Ben

I'll be coming from an RS Liberty that has had no end of work done to it. STi motor, big turbo, STi 6-speed gearbox and plated diff, coilovers, swaybars, Haltech computer, 650cc injectors, and lots more. Like an "LX" badge on the boot for added "WTF?!" factor. :nono: Makes about 200kW at all 4s, does low 12s and scares the buggery out of Porsches. Great fun, but with no air con, super-stiff springs and generally brutal performance its not really road friendly...

So after 2.5 years worth of blood, sweat & beers, I'm parting it out and using the money to buy a BF XR6. I'm hoping to get into one that has the Typhoon motor (all '06 models, right?) for easier power. I'm not going to go nuts, just Walbro pump, CAI, intercooler, cat-back exhaust and retune for ~300kW ATW, plus some lowered springs, Bilsteins, 18s and some work on the brakes. Should be a good, reliable, fun family car then

freak, your on fordmods lol.

I just sold my ef today, it was also hard to let it go.

it would have been awesome if I could have stored it somewhere as I know I would have eventually turned it into a track car.

it has been the best car I've ever had up to this stage.

lets hope this xr6t can better it.
