I had a look at the new Bridgestone Adrenalin's last night while I was gettin some RE55's fitted. (Not on the T)

"Own the street with Adrenalin Potenza RE001 high performance tyres. The foundation of high performance driving is high level stability. The Adrenalin Potenza RE001's broader ground contact area delivers more steering information from the tyres. With better straight line stability, front / rear balance and faithful rear tyre tracking, the result is greater control giving drivers more options in varying conditions."

The guy told me they'd be very well priced, and good competition for lots of other performance tyres.

May pay to check em out, I'd be interested if anyone else on the forum has tried them on the street.

sorry for going off topic for a sec but, how good are the std dunlops that you get?

I bought my car with only 400 k's on the clock, so the tyres were new, they are now 7000k's old and I never spin my wheels through the gears, I'm running 254rwkw too

I got a bit more power (and torque I assume) than u.. and its a manual.. but I get sideways in 3rd if im trying. I'm sure u can get worse.. but they arent that great that's for sure!

Having had a drive of Hiddeous' ute, it is amazing how much livelier they are at the rear when compared to my sedan.

Granted, tyres were a bit narrower, and it is a manual, but it definitely felt like it let go a lot easier then the sedan.

Im on the look out for 245/40/18's tyres

I was quoted $180 a tyre, fitted & balanced (nankangs) from Tyreworks in Dandenong

Beaurepairs wanted $250 for the same thing :w00t2:

Im still shopping around, their not cheap the 245's compared to the 235's

My cars running the standard tyres and so far im reasonably impressed. While its only stock I've done a few MC / AHG long track days and they have proven themselves to be ok (for the power levels). BUT that said, when its time for a change (ie more power, better brakes and suspension gear) I'll go something much grippier (what, im not sure)

Can the standard rims fit any wider than 235's? or do I have to upgrade rims? Some nice simmons would be nice though..
