I'd hate to consider what 427 modern cubes could be capable of with a few mods...

The word 'modern' is not applicable to holden / chev v8's. They are still running 2 valve heads and pushrods!! They dont understand the need for refinment and efficiency and reduction of valvetrain friction losses. Their answer is 'just make the piston and stroke bigger' "yeah that will sell these things to all the bogans!"

And $120,000 is about $50,000 too much for any Holden! And dare I say it any aussie ford for that matter.

Ahh that feels better.

For that coin, I'd take the new GTR in '08.

Mind you, the GTR might be a touch more than $120k :spoton:

mmmmmm GTR would be nice, but on the other side of $200k I reckon !!!!

theres a lot of cars to consider for $120k... I'd be quite tempted to buy a mint E46 M3 and turbo the bitch..

I would never pay $120,000 for any holden........or ford. I would rather buy a typhoon AND a gt. or wait and see what the GTHO will have when/if there ever is a new one made. if they are only making 150 or so, you would probably never ever see one in action anyway unless its a track car. and guess what?................it looks just like a regular commodore! I am @#$%! myself with fear.......not.

That sounds awesome. I know this engine in the current z06 (1450kg but) does mid to low 11's stock. Wouldn't be surprised to see the Late model camira do low 12's to high 11's.

As for ford, they've got the supercharged 5.4 (as fitted to the GT 500 Mustang and GT40) sitting on the shelf if they want it. It has 373kw in the mustang and over 400 in the GT40.

But at $120k, there won't be much of a market for it I would have thought. Chances are ford aus won't bother I guess. But I'd love to see a hipo typhoon released, which should be able to match it at a far lower cost

absolutely right about the corvette running mid 11's STOCK. .

So I would say these things are going to be weapons. cant wait really, might have to trade up and twin turbo's :sofa:

I suppose it’s not bad for $120k but then again that’s only 290rwks. My Ute made 330rwks with Injectors, Exhaust and edit so for a couple of grand ontop of the purchase price of an F6 you would blow it away!!! Then if you were to spend the other $50k left over I’m sure you could do a Simon and have her pumping out 540rwkws and still take a trip around the world with spending money.

I think Ill stick to my F6 thanks

But the HSV will have warranty and oh what a glorious sound it'll make. Still my 352rwkW phoon should hold up well against one. I'd rather buy a second RS4 and supercharge it. $120ZK for a taxi, er no thanks. Holdens kidding themseleves if they think the VE in anything other than handling is world class.

Expensive Daewoo V8's never really sound that great for a V8

Very true. Raced a GEN3 the other week, sounded like 2 cats r@*ting in a garden shed.

That's Dream Car material.

It would be interesting to see how many of these cars get modified.

If ppl do put TT kits on the gts-r then we're all in trouble :crybaby:

Well the LS2 engine with the Aps TT kit makes 440rwkw at 10psi on the stock engine. It's torque curve isn't anwhere near as savage as the T with similar power so it's much more streetable, yet still very, very powerful. :spoton:
