Nice avatar Kieran!

In response to Rob's question - I haven't used them but I know someone that has. He was pleased with the results, pleased with the backup service when things weren't perfect and he believes Jarrod is a good tuner who is getting better.

A major attraction for him also was a "new car" warranty for any damage caused by mods - but I'm yet to see or hear about anyone making a claim. Apparently Ford demanded that McInerney Ford totally separate its New Car sales and Performance arm Ie Black Mac due to conflicts of interest with new car warranties.

So yes Rob - the only person I know who has actually used Black Mac for tunes and performance mods has been happy with them.

I have used Black Mac and too date have had absolute no problems with my Car. The After Sales Service is sensational and as a paying customer one could not ask for more. I think you will find that Jarrod is a safe tuner and doesn't like going overboard on his Tuning (I'm running 12 psi) or modding. I am certainly not complaining with my cars performanace.

I would say that 245 RWKW would be a guesstimate. I got 272RWKW with Tune, Filter and Injectors.

I met Jarrod not long after they had got into tuning (Fitted my Valve springs) and at that point they were offering "support" should their tunes cause any issues. Their philosopy being that if you can't beat them join them. Rather than living with edit caused warranty work, Ford were supportive of Black Macs approach to provide "safe" tunes.

From memory at that stage, a "safe tune was considered to be 9psi and circa 230rwkw.

Interesting to hear that they are now happy to pump out 270rwkw with the same "support".

Safe tune at 230rwkw? They could pour in a bottle of octane booster to get that extra 10rwkw from an F6.

It's all well and good saying they will support a customer that has engine problems... but until an engine blows as a result of their tuning we have no idea what their support will be like. I could hazzard a guess but.

I've dealt with them in the past, and the experience has left me with nausea when I drive anywhere near Morley.

Thanks for the feedback,

I agree that the 245KW isn't huge, but I asked him for a guideline, so can't bag him for keeping it conservative. Quick question - what would you expect a Typhoon to get from an edit only, and how much more for injectors?

Apologies for the "bedspoke" typo! As F6 Ute translated, I meant bespoke, should probably have said Custom, but I'm new to all this..

As for using Xtreme Ford Tuning, I spoke to Simon, and sent a couple of emails to ask for more information, but never heard back. Given his reputation, I'm assuming that he's just busy - Fair enough, but I want someone to do the work!

Still considering Jarrad, as those who've used him seem happy, and I thought that the price for two Custom tunes (excluding the air filter) was excellent.

With standard injectors and exhaust you'll see around 260 I guess, but I doubt BlackMac will take it to that as the injectors will be running at 100% cycle duty.

Keep in mind Simon has tuned many, many more F6's than Black Mac.
