mmmmm that thing is so sexy

So would a S13 NA be driftable

Also take a bit of since ya can get S13's for like 4K so that leaves 2k for wheels to wreck and tyres and gear boxes

so corrolas , silvia skylines, anything else?

yeah somthing with some balls... its very hard to drift a car well without decent power and suspension... basically, you cant seriously go drifting with only $5k if that's your budget including tyres, insurance for track days etc...

heard 80's corollas are pretty good for drifting and should be cheap entry into the sport.

Meh japs have been drifting 86's for ages, its all about power to weight and skill. No need for massive power what so ever. Unless you want massive smoke. I'm rubbish at drifting but my first drive in a 86 had me sideways after about 20mins.

Go watch some Keiichi Tsuchiya videos to see what you can do in a 900kg car.

Here some aussie stuff, bit messy but not bad.

Rubber is going to be the most dollars, and a good suspension set up. Then its all about learning the dozen different techniques to drift, not just throwing it into a corner and putting your foot down and letting your engine do all the work...

Learn your craft in some thing cheap, drift is hard on cars and your first car is going to take a pounding,
