That being the case, if it's only a few grand more for someone like Mal Woods to 110% fix it, guaranteed, then it's worth a look.Heading to a BF is not a bad option but I think the extra cost would sink it for me. The reasoning is basically an extension of my own so I can hardly fault it. Aside from which, I'd pretty much have to spend the coin to fix this one anyway before selling it... which past experience tells me would not add value:me: Oh, and the gearbox has just been seen tobuyer: What was wrong with it?me: Ah, this and that... um... it needed....buyer: So you thrashed it?me: Look, a little, but only on Sundays really. It IS an XR6T!buyer: [walking]I'll chase up some quotes on getting the original box seen to, sounds like it might not be that much, then spend the saved cash on an edit... which will tick a few other "boxes" as well. My association with manual gearboxes will, for the time being, stay unsatisfied (except for the one on my fireblade!).So the next question: where to take it?Trawling the forum has given me the name of Protrans in (caringbah?)... any other Sydders places worth asking to take a look at it?
