I was thinkin about this the other day, since im used to my (Ex) EF falcon. when I was havin a run with someone id usually chuck it back into 2nd or even first for a rolling start, and when at lights sometimes id even have it revn in N and then slap it down. but with my T on its way, im bound to have a lil show off to my mates or even for the future when ive got my mods and im down at the qtr mile. I was wondering just out curiosity whats the best way to drive it? what does everyone do? leave it in D and just plant the foot down or switch over to the semi-manual? I mean I used to rev the ef upto 5g or even red line it lol but I dont wanna be doin that with this car :spoton:

Flick it over to perf and you'll get more out of it, also hold the pedal flat - flat as in past the detent.

You can also try selecting 2nd manually and stalling it up and then force it back to 1st just as you release the brake - but there's mixed feelings on the effectiveness of that.

When do you get your new toy?

I've found performance mode results in a quicker time than manually shifting.

Hold the brake hard, use the handbrake aswell if you want. Floor the accelerator and once the revs it the stall speed you are after let the brake(s) go and hold on!

Hey..

Interesting topic, We have taken our ute to the drags for the last few weeks and leaving it in performance mode it was doing 12.25 and couldnt get any where near that when manually changing gear. it was more around 12.5-12.6. Paul from Elite tells me he is doing his pb with manually changing the gears.. I might just need more practice though I can see how you can change better and more perfect then a computer.. any one with a suggestion..?
