V8 Supercar round winner at Hidden Valley today, Craig Lowndes, has had the title stripped after a post race protest by the Toll HSV Racing Team. The Toll Racing protest was based on the fact the Rick Kelly (current series leader) was quite upset that he didn't come first. Additional evidence was also provided in the form of deposit slips showing that all their "payments" had been paid to AVESCO this week.

After a brief deliberation, AVESCO ruled in favour of Toll Racing and granted Rick Kelly the trophy.

A motorsport enthusiast from fordxr6turbo.com, 01txr, was quoted as saying "that would be F%$#ing right, Expensive Daewoo have to cheat to win..." He seemed quite upset with the AVESCO ruling.

888 Racing are considering an appeal, but on advice from AVESCO don't think it is really worth trying unless they can front up some cash

Bignose is as cunning as a rat,....... he serves up young Winterbottom at turn one after the stop, on the right rear mind you....just enough to take the edge off the aero at the back of the car and not turn him around, comes together with him again and gets past, thinks to himself that Wallyman might not see funny side so he lets Winterbottom past to redress, knowing that he can easily catch and pass him again cause hes already crippled the Ford drivers car ......you can add this to the giant economy size electromagnets that GM as had secretly built into the tyre walls

One thing I was pleased to see was a few people saying what they really thought for a change, I read that V8SCA has been reviewing its rules on what exactly "brings the sport into disrepute".

We saw drivers actually getting animated and stuck into one another for whatever reason, then the Handbag has a grizzle about the safety car deal and has a shot at the people up in the tower.......

Now normally you'd be paying a pretty big dollar figure for coming out with that on TV....I'll be very interested to see if he gets penalised for it.

Me thinks the TV channels should start airing and promoting PRODUCTION CAR races and the Utes more than the V8 supercars which are in no way a FORD OR A HOLDEN (cept maybe the block and gearbox casing and the bodyshell).
