At the recent National Nizpro Dyno day, my tune started to look very second hand. A offer of free 968's if you booked today, had ideas rattling around in my head.

Well before I go any further, my old tune, and you guys know what it was did exactely what it claimed it would and was a very reliable upgrade. However it was not modifiable and therein lies the problem.

Car: BA Mk II XR6T six speed manual.

Mods: Wog Cooler, K and N, Edit, 968 injectors,Hot dogs insteaad of middle muffler and front and back whiteline sway bars.

Given that I have stock valve springs and clutch, the priority was a very reliable tune that could handle the hot air of Brissy and the cold air of the snowy mountains around Wagga.

So it was decided that an 8 pound and 10 pound tune would go in.

Results: 8 Pound 235 rwkw, an excellent drive with good economy and snappy power, given that this is up from 211 rwkw that I had the difference in drivabilty is very noticable.

10 pound 255 rwkw, have only driven on this once, the intake noise and subsequent wheel spin outstanding, however being crook at the time I took it out and went with the more modest 8 pound tune in. I will however test out this tune in the near future and wil post my thoughts.

I would like to publicly thank all the guys and gals at Elite Autos, for there time and effort, not to mention there hospitality, in fact right now I have just enjoyed a cappicino, whilst the car is being serviced in prep for my drive back to Wagga tommorow.

To all the QLD guys and gals, enjoy the Blonk Mk II cruise, wish I could be there, catch up with you all next time.

Scotty

Take it easy mate, dive carefully (if you can?) and enjoy.

Look forward to you joining us on the "Scotty returns to Brisvegas" cruise - whenever that may be! :hiall:

Good results, start saving for a clutch, death is imminent. I too tried to conserve my stock clutch with 262rwkw, but try overtake in 4th and hit boost and she does not like it one bit. You will also notice in time that releasing your clutch under hard accelleration it will feel a bit doughy.

Good to meet you again, and have a chance to chat... It should be a more enjoyable drive back down to wagga.

No doubt your brother will be wanting a drive now to :P I am still in two minds about getting my ute done, after todays little display in peak hour in town, maybe I should wait until I get REALLY used to stock.

Well, daughter in car on the way to Wagga, a cunning and devious ploy by the other half. Ten pound tune, but cruised the whole way. Overtaking was a cince and I averaged 9.5 litres per 100 km.

Tested the car ot the other day, left a 60 zone in 4th, 2000 rpm, in about 4 secounds I was approaching 5500rpm, I'll let you guys work out what speed that is, but rest assured its all legal. Nice toy, cheers once again to the crew at Elite.
