The fitting of the process west gear and full exhaust has removed a lot of the back pressure and made the valve springs job a lot easer, BF valve springs are half decent anyway. groper Member 611 Member For: 18y 2m 15d Posted 10/08/07 04:38 AM Author Share Posted 10/08/07 04:38 AM (edited) running the clutch in, whats that???? you mean repetative launches at 5000rpm in close succession? nah I wont slip it too much and get it nice and hot for a good 1000k`s or so... otherwise it should be fine to hold heaps of power straight away so long as its not slipping...what ever happened to your clutch scribr? sort it yet? groper Member 611 Member For: 18y 2m 15d Posted 15/08/07 10:21 AM Author Share Posted 15/08/07 10:21 AM (edited) ok well it seems the kit works very well. we ran up a street tune of 366rwkw @ 15psi.then we added in my 20% toluene mix and tuned it again to come up with 396rwkw @ 17psi with approx 1200nm of torque. more peak power was there to be had but I wanted torque down low not so much peak power on this tune. I say approx torque as wheel spin on dyno was giving us dramas. it came up as 1140nm but tyres were turning so who knows?we didnt try the 110 martini`s turbo 1400 race fuel as we were running out of time and I didnt really want to push my stock bottom end much further anyways, but I have no doubt that it would have run 410+rwkw easy with the extra octane and oxygen to boot.as for the clutch, ill reserve judgement for a little while longer and spend some more time with it but its very promising so far. only a slight shudder when moving off that's getting better each day and I think will dissappear once it has fully bedded in. apart from that, its like factory.car drives great on the street tune, very fast. the aggressive tune is nuts, just the way I wanted it unless the road has a good surface it will turn tyres in 4th no worries.and lastly, I simply could not say enough good things about dave @ collinsville performance in mackay (kown on here as blueboost)... without a doubt one of the best blokes I have ever met who really doesnt mind taking the time to get every part of the car perfect and really knows his sh*t. thanks again mate!
