Then get under the car and remove bolts that hold up the crossmember. Lower the back of the box down to create enough room to get to the bolts that hold the shifter to the box. Remove the old shift, making sure the plastic cup around the ball under the shift stays in the box, (it may come out with the old shift, take it of and place it in the selector mechanism in the box) clean the mounting surface for the new shift. Place a small bead of silicone or sealer around the mounting surface and bolt the new shift onto the box.Lift up the gearbox,re-fit crossmember bolts. Then attach lever,console surround, boot and knob. that's about the job done. If you can use a hoist it is easier but you can use car stands and a jack.
