Tax finally came through and I'm now waiting for my flash box, Order it from KPM today so hopefully it won't be to long in the post :hrmm: . So as you can imagine I'll be have a bit of a play with it this weekend (fingers crossed). Any advise on what to or not to do? should I be concerned about gaping plugs or anything :banem: ?

welcome back

Regapping would be advisable and replacement of the wire hose clamps.

other than that its plug and play.

Hey hey,

How is everyone going out there? Just thought I post something up so everyone knows well still kicking up here.

Wright'y, Hows the beast going? have you got that tranny sorted yet, sorry about the other day in at work didn't recognise you & the penny didn't drop until you'd left.

I've flashed up the car last tuesday with the 8 psi tune & well what can I say it's like a different car, I'm lovin every minute of it. One question thou should it be harder to get into reverse now? since I've flashed it reverse is alot firmer to get into now.

I'm getting a new diff put in on monday (Warranty is a wonderful thing) should get rid of some of those annoying little noises (I hope).

Any news on the cruise front 72? looking forward to the next run what ever it may be. Right'o will catch up with ya all later.

Cheers :spoton:

Hey guys,

Another Darwinite here - I just ordered one of C&V's $495 flash tuner specials and it should be here on Monday/Tuesday. I am going to run the 8psi tune and chuck it on the dyno at Hi-Tech before and after. Does anyone know how much HTT charge for dyno time?

Adam

welcome to the Nt section Adam

About $70 an hour. You should test out both the 8psi and the 10psi tune, wont take long to do and 10psi is more fun than the 8.

As for the next cruise, I am looking at about one two to three weeks away, maybe a late night special as its getting a bit stinky during the day.

Symile, the edit make a huge difference, it turns these cars into what they should have been from the factory.

Not sure about the gear box, If I am having troubble getting it into gear I just ride the clutch a little so it just takes up and then clutch out again , that spins the gears so they line up

Thanks seventytwo

I like the sound of the 10psi tune but I am stock otherwise (other than an F6 CAI) and its bloody hot up here and I also run PULP not 98. The nearly-20c extra they charge for BP Ultimate here is outrageous and unnecessary for a stock car and according to Con the 8psi tune is fine on PULP.

$70 an hour is better than expected! I should be able to get in and out for 70 bucks with a couple of dyno sheets with power, AFR and boost.

Gday every one.

The box is getting done asap, Jeff from CV said they have been waiting 3 weeks for a auto to be rebuilt on a custmers car so mine shouldnt be that much longer.

Smylie, your alright mate I was in a rush anyway, a mate of mine was hurt pretty bad and was in hospitable.

Its good to hear you are happy with the new found power, welcome to the modded club. :leghump:

About the flash tuner I did hear that people were getting 5 speed tunes for a 6 speed, and because the 6 speed has a electronic lock out it will not deactivate the lock and make it harder to select reverse.

Try flashing back to the "F" (stock) tune and see if it makes it easy.

If it makes a big difference call the guys you bought it of and tell them what you said.

I should have my sun roof sorted soon too and I need two new tyres.

Does anyone know what width I can go on 18x8's?

I want to put 275 on the back.

Also welcome adamw, we will all have to catch up again soon and watch tourist drive busses off the road and make friends with the locals. :bangcomputer:

Hi Wrighty sounds like your gear box is in good hands, back in the car soon I hope.

Went for a late night spin tonight, Cops everywhere and it piss down rain (looks like the wets early this year) so it was a subdued solo cruise.

Keep seeing a Blue XR with the plates XRIST or some thing like that, Not a bad ride.

Smiley you will have to do some site advertising at work, we need to get some more NT members, bit too quite round here.
