What annoys me the most is when cars entering the round about from your right stop and insist you go first then look at you as if you are the fool when you give way to them. This has happened to me a few times recently and on one occasion almost caused an accident.

Ah yes, been in that situation a few times....there's also been a time when there where 4 cars at each approach all looking at each other wondering who was going to go first and I'm sitting behind one of them pissing myself laughing when they all decide to go at the same time nearly causing a pile up....

Now you going to make me double check. I think only at this point you reffering to Road Transport Act 1999 and not Road Trandsport (General) Act 2005. And of course only applying to NSW. The 2005 legislation may or may not have had the correction but will be the most recent and unrepealed legislation. Anyway cant I cant find me book, but it is all on the net in various places.

The Road Trandsport (General) Act 2005 is moreover to comply to the road transport industry.

The Road Transport Act 1999 or specifically the Road Transport (Safety and Traffic Management) (Road Rules) Regulation 1999 has been incorporated with the Australian Road Rules as set out by the National Road Transport Commission. Well that's the way I read it.

Why we have varying road rules for every state is beyond me. We aren't THAT big of a country.

For instance that rule Melbournians have in their CBD where a vehicle turning right is to vere left and form part of that flow of traffic. I admit it certainly has merit. I would love to try that one in Sydney CBD and watch the look on everyones face. :roflmbo:

Cheers
