Round Abouts

Thoughts?

Many people had accidents from round abouts?

I for one had one last year but luckily the only damage my El falcon took then was a dent to the number plate.

And that was actually a 4 car mingle...

As some will know im a P-plater and I have to admit. 75.24513% of P platers are naive and stupid. Have no reactions and generally lack common sense. But wait. This applies to ALL drivers. Not just P-platers. Anyway to the story. About 5 cars driving along a 50km street heading up to a large round about. (Hence the lack of damage) As the round about is pretty large and everybody can quite clearly see how open the road was with no traffic coming in from the right the P-plater in front saw a magical truck and must have decided f*ck THIS. Slams on the brakes about 15 m in front of the round about. DINK DINK DINK DINK. Like I said. No damage to my car and only minor bumper damage to the front 2 cars.

Seriously though. Some people will no doubt say it was all the cars faults for being so close but as it was VERY unexpected I thought it was quite lucky nothing major happened. But Im kinda rambling. So im going. But yeh.

I hears ya....what sh*tes me to death is when you are just about to enter the roundabout, check to see there are no cars to your right, enter said roundabout, and then some dickhead in the left doesn't give you way, so you slam the anchors to miss them and they carry on as if nothing has happened for farks sake...is it just me or are there sh*t drivers everywhere?.....

....and don't get me started on lane hoggers...you know the carnts that cannot decide whether they are in the left lane or right lane, say they take both....farcanal....

driving a truck works well in this situation basically unless im going to drive straight over someone you just go straight through the roundabout peaple seem to just stop

I think the most annoying farken thing about roundabouts is the mofo main roads bitches propensity to install them at random on what were once free flowing smooth roads...

dont they realise that if Joe 'Average Driver' cant maintain the posted limit or merge correctly, what chance do they have of navigating a big scary circle !!!!!!!!!!!!

fark yea. Im so with nang3 and space ace, I HATE IT WHEN YOUR MERGING ON A 100KMH FREEWAY AND THE IDIOT IN FRONT OF YOU IS MERGING AT 70 KMH. FOR FARK SAKE MERGE CORRECTLY AND DO THE SPEED LIMIT! THESE ARE THE PPL WHO CREATE TRAFFIC CONGESTION!

AND ROUNDABOUTS? FARK ME IT sh*tS ME TO TEARS WHEN TRUCKS & CARS DECIDE THEY ARENT GOING TO WAIT AND PULL OUT IN FRONT OF YOU, YOU SLAM ON YOUR BRAKES AND YOUR LEFT WAITING IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROUNDABOUT FOR THE DICKS.

GIVE WAY PPL OR GO TO TRAFFIC SCHOOL! AND AS AARON SAID, INDICATE! ITS NOT FARKIN HARD!

Probably the thing that sh*ts me the most is when people use the outside lane to travel more than half way around when they should really be using the inside lane.

We talk about indicating on roundabaouts which I agree is a big issue, but who on here indicates when there leaving the roundabout or going straight through? Dont ever go off the fact that the other driver hasnt indicated and then drives onto the reundabaout and also those who leave there indicators on like bike riders who forget to turn it off. You then think there turning off the roudabout then all of a sudden youve pulled out in fornt of them.

Only other gripe on roundabouts that I have, is that why the fark are they installed on perfectly good straight roads. Its only done to slow you down on a straight road, and some of them are buils so off centre that you have to hook a hard left then a hard right to go round the stupid thing when only a few years ago it use to be a perfectly good straight piece of road.

If there is traffic to the left or oncoming waiting, I'll signal an exit left or right if I'm going around. If there's nobody there, I won't signal typically. Common courtesy really I think.
