Any decent computer will do the job. You can use atomic verneir gears for the cams or even leave them alone.

Im using an XTC EMS from the dynowog on my BA motor in the EA. He is modifying the cam phasers and gears so they are switchable as well.

This is a good compromise as it seems only the ford ECU controls the DVCT really well. From all the tuners Ive spoken to autronic and motecs really arent that good at it. The cost of getting the DVCT to work outweighs the benefits IMO.

Yep it is.

The XTC EMS ECU is $1195 IIRC. You would have to call him for a fitted price.

Mine should be started for the first time today. Its at the workshop getting the ECU done at the moment.

Its a very good ecu for money IMO. I would say the next bang for buck ECU would be the EMS 8860 at $1500 ish.

If the XTC EMS wasnt available an 8860 would be my choice.

No chance Mickey... I turboed my ED and spent 10k, and that wasnt even touching the motor itself. Wild ride though, makes my T feel like a volvo lol

Dude did you do injectors? and did you use an aftermarket computer? what turbo did you use? what was the most costly problem? was there any problem?

Im curious dude

No xr6T engine but I have a F6 engine I'll part with, has pipework and the cooler (Some bent fins) if you want it. Has wiring harness but no ecu. Only done a few thousand k's

I used Wolf 3D v3, 550cc injectors, Garrett T4 650hp,Tial 38mm external w'gate,3in exhaust, big front mount, walbro intake pump... the motor had 200thou kays on it and took 15psi for 12 months without using oil or breaking. I road tuned it myself, constantly fine tuning with the laptop on the passanger seat or just using the handcontroller for quick changes.

It ate 2 4sp btm autos and loads of rear tyres, but was a great introduction to the turbo falcon world :smilielol:
