all I will say is this... for the t of course...

fuel pump $230

60lb injectors fitted $500

actuator $145

intercooler/plenum kit $3200

4" turbo back stainless zorst with 5" cat $1400

editbox and full custom tune $1100

so ~$6k gets you how much power? pretty damn close to if not over 400rwkw im guessing :spoton: and will no for sure in about 2 weeks... can you do that in an xr8?

that's why I bought the T...

It lowers the ceiling by a few inches - massive pain in the arse if you're tall….unless you like have your seat laid right back.

Its a turbo - doesn't everyone have their seats right back??? :spoton:

Seriously though, I considered getting the sunroof but seeing how little decent days we get here in Melb to have it fully open, it wasn't worth the extra coin....

Nah Jeff, just give them a holiday

Please keep this thread ON TOPIC and do not get personal, or we will.

As for car choice, it seems the only reason people get for getting a 8 over a T is sound.

While I agree, the Boss is one sexy sounding car, but if you want to make it go faster for a decent price, the Turbo wins hands down every time.

Have to agree with you there, the BF MK1 F6 I bought was very easy and cheap to modify. I had it for 4 months and gave the Red Lion boys heaps of curry around the streets of Adelaide. Then the magic dissapeared, so I gave it to my wife (who loves it to bits) and bought a FPV Boss Ute. I miss the power surge of the turbo, but I love the sound, the rumble, and that moddified exhaust note of the Boss witch can never be matched by any I6 Turbo engine. I have outlaid $4,600 in mods on the Boss and now have 285 RWKW, so there are some good gains to be made without spending too much money. You can't go wrong with either choice, I am just fortunate enough to have one of each.

Regards Bob

Drove an XR8 and bought and XR6T without driving one..

they didn't have one for me to test drive

Had a 99 318i BMW and wanted to trade in for a quicker car..

ended up with a new fever 07 BF mk2 XR6T

could have gone either way the XR8 has a great sound but the turbo noise is awesome

pushes you back in the seat

I like the bonnet bulge of the 8 though...

I just wanted 6spd auto.. and the mrs wanted Territory...

But I won.. :-) XR6T heheheheeeh
