I was looking into getting the Territory Turbo front brakes onto my BA, they are a lot better at 340 mm x 32 mm. I rang Ford who said the stub axle on the Terri Turbo and the NA Turbo are the same meaning that they should fit on the BA as well as the NA Terri brakes do.

Here lies the problem, Ford parts prices:

Territory Turbo calipers: $847.89....each!

Territory Turbo rotors: $720.39....each!

It seems the rotors are not yet available aftermarket, DBA etc (well I called 1 Bursons store to check).

Does anyone else have any info on the Territory Turbo brakes onto a BA or BF?

I am getting my brother who works for Bursons to check if the calipers and rotors are available aftermarket yet through PBR. Should have that onfo soon.

I'm gonna whatch this topic, I'm not a fan of the std stoppers...

I am running the PBR premos on the frnt and recently conveted the rear to Territory.

The Ford callipers were $180 ish and $210ish each for the rears and that included the pads so I'd get your prices verified.

The rotors were about $200 ish each.

Standard front callipers with DBA 4000 slotted and either Ultimates or Racebrakes RB74 pads will provide a quantum improvement in the fornt end.

I have just purchased all the part to upgrade my rear BA XR sedan brakes to Territory type. I have the PBR C6 Permium callipers in the front.

This is what I purchased and paid:

2 x rear Territory callipers, pads and hoses from a wrecker - $100 a pair (The callipers had done only 15Kms, yes 15.00 kilometers)

2 x backing plates (splash guards) from Ford - $75.

2 x slotted RDA rotors to suite - $230

Now this is a cheap, cost effective upgrade. Forget the Brembos, the DBAs and other over priced brake packages. For the road, this is more than enough!

The TURBO Territory has larger brakes than the NA Territory.

They are Huge and more like the Premo brakes from the BA's, but without the Ford logo on the caliper.

Your right they are a lot bigger than the standard Territory!

Personally for new genuine brakes I think those prices are pretty reasonable.

I put AP Racing 6 piston calipers with 362mm x32mm rotors on the front and 4 piston calipers with 343mm x 28mm rotors on the back on our Monaro a while ago, they do stop very well however they are not cheap.

I'm considering a brake upgrade to our Turbo Territory if I'm able to find something a bit bigger that will fit inside the new rims, so our brakes may be up for sale.

Some of you guys might be missing the point of my post, the post is to do with FRONT Territory Turbo brakes onto a BA or BF, not rear brakes onto a BA. The rears are cheap and can be found easily if you look, all you need is the calipers, rest is aftermarket.

THe Territory Turbo fronts are much harder to source aftermarket if not impossible? That is what I am trying to find out.

Hope someone out there has some info, as the prices charged by Ford are not reasonable. 2 piston calipers up near the price of Brembos or APs? Not right Ford.

xr_velocity: I am interested in doing this upgrade as well, but certainly not at those prices!

wasxaman: I have done the upgrade to territory brakes, but left the original rear backing plates on. was it hard to change the backing plates to the bigger bf ones? removing that whole handbrake assembly scares me a bit!

Kramo,

I have al the parts but I haven't undertaken the upgrade yet.

I have looked at my solid rotor setup and concluded that the Territory rotor would hit the backing plate so I purchased the BF/Territory backing plates. The BF/Territory rotors are 8mm bigger in depth and I don't believe there is > 8mm in space now.

To be safe, I will change the backing, the handbrake assembly does look that bad, at least on paper.

Did you bend you backing plate?
