Jesus, I've seen a lot worse wheels fitted to XR's on this forum, and the owners actually chose those wheels. I reckon these look fine, just needs lowering and bigger brakes. :roflmbo:

Thanks!

Still not upgrading the brakes though. Maybe if I ever decide to upgrade power, or fill the boot with concrete it'll be warranted .. :roflmbo:

Apologies for the overuse of smilies, I can't get enuff of 'em

South - please see my signature - 'thanks' for your opinion, unfortunately I was asking for technical advice, not opinions. :spit:

Maybe I will start another thread for people to hang sh!t on me for choosing this car because it had those rims on it. OR NOT, since buying a car is a personal choice, made for personal reasons. Your opinion, whilst important to you, means jack sh!t to me.

Can't see your car pictured anywhere champ, got any photo's? :banghead:

AND! WTF matter is it if the brakes look small compared to the wheels? They aren't there to look good, they are there to stop the car.

Thanks to others for responding to my post with meaningful info - anyone else who wants to give me cr@p about the way something looks can PM me, so we can leave it off the forum.

Warm Regards

Simon

that's ok, the pleasure is all mine...

I still drive my Fairmont, as I have not found a decent XR6t in Perth for sale yet...

Enjoy your w.end champ

You can go King Springs SL for front and SSL for the back should look close to the pic below

When you say King Springs SL for the front, do you mean the KFFL-57SL listed under the AU Falcon on the King Springs catalogue?

My car has the KFFL-57 on the front and KFRL-68SSL which sits level and I was hoping to drop the front down another 10mm approximately and wondered if the KFFL-57SL fit on the front of a BA.

Also, does anyone know what the /520 means after the KFFL-57 and the /310 after the KFRL-68SSL on the BA XR springs on the King Springs catalogue?

I think the current cat lists the 57SL as superlow for XR/FPV? Anyway, got them fitted to my car and had the plain 57 fitted previously, yeah they're lower alrighty, but I reckon on the edge alignment wise. 57's didnt seem to drop the car much at all.

The 520 and 320 are lb ratings, different to their regular offerings.

Hi Simon,

I like your car. Sorry I cant offer you any technical advice, cos I'm just a girl... but I definitely think you should go ahead and lower it !! Even if it is just for looks, it'll be worth it.

I'll do mine if you do yours.. :roflmbo:

Ok, thanks. That what I am thinking of doing. Changing from the 57 to the 57SL. They don't list them under the BA for some reason.

Down the bottom of the catalogue in the super low section they list the KFFL-57 as a super low option for BA XR, the only difference is the part no is shaded indicating progressive rate. Unless it's a typo and it should say KFFL-57SL. Ah, I'm confused....... :roflmbo:

Hey mate, once you lower it, will change the whole look of your car, I use to have kings sl in the front and ssl in the rear then I end up compressing them another inch :welcome2:

It'll look totally different lowered mate :drunk:

cheers charlie
