Don't go under the car with only a trolley jack holding it up!

Put it up on stands aswell.

It's pretty easy to get the turbo heat shield off. I think you'll see alot more then.

Yep, stands as well. Used them before and neigbour has them, and old just retired mechanic with the best of everything all in his garage that I can't get too until........tommorrow.

Won't even consider going under with the boot jack.

I think the fire with extinguisher at home was good luck - maybe that is a good lesson not just for me but for everyone. It will be going in now as ugly as it may be!

After that I'm not going to risk it with a normal jack or as you correctly point out just the trolley either!

I would say that ingesting water definately DID NOT cause this.

But maybe it did!

looks like piston and block frgments to me.

VERY ugly.

Sorry dude.

I'm no mechanic, but the bits in top of 2nd photo look awfully like piston to me - agree?

if it has thrown a leg out of bed then isnt that usually due to detonation from a poor tune?how long have you been running those mods and tune?

Car has 32,000km (post edit - 31,623km total on odometer, purchased new from Ford and modified thereafter).

I won't comment on tune etc at this time.

Cheers.

Speaking from experience power! That debris is sump, block and a large peice of piston skirt. When you get under, it will look a little like this...

Yep, some familiar looking bits there.
