Congratulations on your choice mate, don't forget you are still more than welcome to come along on one of our cruises with your commie, gives both of us a chance to compare :D

The next Canberra cruise is a joint one with Sydney and will be in September.

Check for details here

Thanks for the invite! :D

I was thinking it would be nice to go along and check out some of the XR6T cars from Canberra - had a look at the photos from the last cruise, looked good. Ha - wonder if you'd have let me join the cruise with my wagon? Maybe I'll make it to the September one. Don't get the car till early September (my choice), so depends on when the cruise is.

You are right about Ford ignoring the wagon market - there are now only two wagon variants. There is a demand for sure in the performance wagon market - maybe Ford are holding out for the new 4wd version to suit the sports wagon people.

Good one Cro, invite the sheep to the lions convention!

Should I bring the mint sauce?

LOL,

More like invite the lion to the raptors convention. :D

And bring some nice creamy anchovie sauce.

And DrewBytes welcome to the Forum and congrats on your choice and although my hands are shaking really bad here, saw my first SS wagon on the weekend anddddddd (nah can't do it).......help love! (He really can't so I'll type it), he looked........twice!

Phew!!!..back again, had a stiff Feral Chook to calm meself.

Don't worry Drew the bagging is all in the spirit of friendly rivalry, no harm, no worse than bagging a guy about the lame, *beep*, limp wristed football team/code he follows......great Aussie tradition.

And as I have found out the Moderators, nannies, thought police, (take your pick) are really on the ball and don't let things get out of hand.

There, got it out this time Dags... :D (I hope, here goes 'Add Reply')

Well if it was me I would say get the SV8 but on the other hand the XR6T looks really good and they are both good cars. Go with your gut feeling but either way you will be getting a good car.

LOL - must have taken guts to admit that Silverhawk

Hopfully I'll make it to the Canberra cruise so I can check out the T. We're certainly lucky to have such good cars available to us at what really are good prices compared to most of the world.

It's good to have the Holden/Ford rivalry - it gets better/faster cars for all of us :D
