I have had a go at home tuning a few times using a haltech on my lazer and 260z then a wolf 3d in my hotrod back to haltech again.

the after market computers are easyer than the edit software,I would not attempt editing my car without proper supervision from a compitent tuner. :spoton:

Make sure you have a wideband O2 sensor/meter set up, an accurate boost guage and a very fast way of hearing/detecting knock.

I used to tune my last few "toys" with Wolf V3 and then V4... wasnt too hard to get a great result but it was live tuning so I could drive around all night and take my time... dont think I could be bothered tuning Edit though

... but u save so much money!!!

You wont be saving money when you hang a leg out of bed. I myself have tuned a fair few aftermarket computers, ranging from EMS to Haltech, even expiriemented with Jaycar piggy back ecu to, but looking into that edit software seriously there is so much that goes into and so much you can adjust ect ect. To put it midly its not exactly software desinged for the novice as it basically allows you to adjust what the factory does. Hence why I let Danny make the changes and I give him a slap every now and then we have a disagreement about what the car is doing. :spoton:
