At the time Iwas like the thousands of other motorsport fans and was outraged that a turbo car won and not a V8 (even would of been happy if it was a Holden, as long as it was a V8!). Now after owning a couple of turbo 6 cylinder Fords I have a newfound respect and admiration for the turbos.

I wasnt outraged the turbos were winning, I was outraged that I was watching my favorite race (its the only race I PLAN to watch every year rain hail sleet or snow..well in the loungeroom) being diced by a bunch of cars I had no interest in....

The whole Ford / Expensive Daewoo rivalry thing is what makes it tick....and balanced competition. Even when the Sierras won races it wasnt the same....

Im perfectly happy with the way it is though I'd like to see a rise in 'off the showroom floor' racing like we used to have with decent coverage and talented drivers, not where the money is though :(

How about a FPV/HSV showroom category, get on it!

Downloaded them the other day. Don't you think it's funny how the Sierra's and GTR's were dominating yet it never inspired Expensive Daewoo to race the Turbo variant of the VL. :spoton:
