the simple question needs to be asked..... does GT stand for Grand Tourer, or God-awful Tart-up....

the original GT was a class above all other models in the Ford range, as mentioned earlier, this is a simple money spinning imposter of the nameplate

I think the 40th anniversary GT will depreciate just as fast as a regular GT in the short term, but in the long term (& I really mean the loooong term) who knows. You've only got to take a look at the prices the classic 60's & 70's muscle cars are bringing now to realise this. A classic example is XC Cobra, a car decribed in in 1978 as a marginal classic, really nothing more than a styling exercise to clear out the last 400 hardtop bodyshells, yet I've seen asking prices of 70K plus. In 30 or 40 years any muscle bound BA, even our beloved T's, could be worth a mint.

I highly doubt the GT40th will appreciate in value, even in 40 years time.

These cars are NOTHING SPECIAL and only stupid speculators will buy them.

It was a pity FPV did not take the opportunity to make a great 40th anaversary model, instead they just built a tryhard tranny

your spot on!! ford completey stuffed up they had an opportunity to get it right this time buy putting a "ho" 330fwkw motor the beast.

Put a Yella Terra whipple charger on it and liven the performance up a bit and it may be worthy of the badge. Until then, they will be hard pressed to beat my Futura...........

I feel fully able to critique any car. FPV IMHO have done a woeful job on the GT. Too goddamn slow. An SS will show one the door stock vs stock everyday. Give it some balls to match its looks ferchrisakes.

Why don't you tell us what you really think Shanus? I do concur however.
