Guest DEVO Guests Posted 04/06/03 10:50 AM Share Posted 04/06/03 10:50 AM Have only had my BA for a couple of months- would have liked the T, or even just the XR NA, but dollars are hard to come by with a couple of morgages. :( Any way, am I missing much? I've got just as much power as the XR NA, and I optioned up with a set of alloys' all be it standard 16" and a spoiler. I would like a bit better suspension and will be forking out some dollars for a new exhaust ( if anyone knows the best place to go in Brisvegas- let me know) but with only a point or two left on the old licence, I'm still enjoying what Ford gave me. Please comment and let me know what the life of T is like. :D

More expensive insurance, always stressing where you park it, rice boys always wanting to drag you....However, being involved with fordxr6turbo.com cruises (one of the coolest experiences ive ever been involved in), the incredible accelleration and tuning potential, modifying your chariot to be even better than what is was when it left the factory, I dont think id have it any other way.My 1 1/2 cents worth. (my opinion isnt worth 2 cents, especially after tax!)

As you so rightly state the XT has the same power as the N/A XR. It's all in the breed mate. You have a fine car and no one can take that away. Lets face it you still have more horses under your bonnet than a S/C Late model camira Not sure what state you are in but be sure to get along to the next forum cruise or event...we are a friendly lot :D
HellionXR6T I'm Back!! Thats right, long over due! :) Lifetime Members 4,348 Member For: 22y 2m 2d Gender: Male Location: West Brisbane Posted 04/06/03 12:36 PM Share Posted 04/06/03 12:36 PM Hi Devo,Yay, another Brisvagas member!!Dude...The XT is still a fantastic car. and is just as powerful as the XR6 NA, gear ratio's and a few other differences, that's about it.Although I love this forum and love reading what everyone is saying about the BA XR6T, we don't own one. Same as you. Question of $$. The car, extra insurance....etc. We went for the XR6 NA but added a few options to make it a little more than the average NA.I simply had to have the 'XR' model as....well as my nic suggests...I've owned nothing but XR's except for my first car. `78 Monza red XC GS Hardtop. Ford mad through and through.Life driving a turbo, well........I've test driven one and have been for a ride in Goose's Blueprint beauty......That's about it so I'm not much help....Absolutley fantastic car.....Love 'em to death. I'm happy with ours though, a bit of forced induction would be nice from time to time. Even toying with the idea of going supercharged in a year or so.Mufflers? Where are you? Northside? If so, I'd say Rob Bliss in Virginia may be worth checking out. Did some nice work on our ED XR6. What would the other Brisbanites suggest? B) Plus you can get premium sound in the XR.I personally like the ricers and Late model camira boys wanting to drag me.The XT is a mighty fine car though. Guest DEVO Guests Posted 05/06/03 12:25 AM Share Posted 05/06/03 12:25 AM Thanks for the warm welcome. I have enjoyed this forum, and the views of like minded blue oval fans. Having owned a VT and VX Commie, I had people question my wisdom on buying Fords latest. By far the easiset explanation has been that Holden's latest multimillion dollar upgrade spent nothing on the motor- the same one has been in place for more than 5 years- and all they did was make it look like the last model Magna  I must say the accelleration has been a great little bonus- doing kitted S Commodores like nothing else  Hope that one day I might participate in a cruise, see all you T guys in the flesh, at this stage I still get that little feeling when I see the T go by... Then there will be 2 of us that aren't 'TURBO' drivers. Most of these guys are pretty laid back and cool. Although the last BNE cruise was a bit of a disaster being split up and all, we still had a great time. I'd love to do it again!!! Check out "Cruises, Events & Meets". There is a 9 page Brisbane saga going on explaining the fun and drama's. Look for "Next Brisbane Get Together". We are thinking about going on a cruise down the Coast next time. July 6th or July 20th.
XR6PSI Member 80 Member For: 21y 7m 15d Posted 05/06/03 05:40 AM Share Posted 05/06/03 05:40 AM hey DEVO depending on where u r in brisvegas RACE in capalaba if you are on the southside do excellant work and would be the 1st place I recommend. however when it comes to most exhaust shops most use the same stuff or will get you just about any brand etc you are after so I don't think it'll really matter. Also the XT is still a FORD and theres no substituite for the best good to see we are converting more and more commie drivers.
