I'm probably going to get shot down for this but I think I know what mean by looking at the VE GTS. Despite being Holden, they are a fairly decent stock car and will give the F6 a run for money.

I also just learnt after speaking with my borther this weekend he's contemplating trading his XR8 for a new VE SS or GTS! I was baffled but he made sense in asking the big question of "why do you ejnoy driving"? It equally does or doesn't matter what car you drive as long as you enjoy driving it.

The big question is where the :furious: are you going to drive any performance car legally apart from track days, drags and skid-pans? If you ask me, keep the T stock as is, it's still a machine and who knows, new life may bleed into it.

If you're really twitching to "spend" money like any sucker would for a bit more non-lasting fun, the choice is ultimately yours whatever you do.

Sorry to be a downer, but the other week I got two speeding fines for just slightly being over the limit and lost 6 points in one hit, while stuck in moving traffic and couldn't do jack about it. Everyone on that stretch of road must have been fined. Talk about revenue making!

Unless you've got the money in the first place and your a sucker for gimmicks, best of luck and hope you come out happy non the less whatever road you choose to take...

:stupid:

I would go the Phoon! Looks better and can go quicker for a simple tune. At the end of the day the HSV is bigger$$$ and not much quicker. Read your reviews on this months Wheels. I know it doesn't favor however theres good and bad points about both models.

Good Luck with your choice!

Dorko :omg:

Why not just do the injectors, edit, intercooler and cat for under $3k installed and see what you think. You might love it (and continue with brakes etc....) or you might might decide to go the Phoon.

Then you can easily remove the intercooler, injectors, flash back factory tune and still get 20 - 23k for you car as a stocker and take your injectors, edit and 'cooler across to the F6 should you so decide.

This gives you a chance to test the water without unecessarily blowing too many $$$.

Couldn't bring myself to recomend the VE.

With a new Falcon next year, I wouldn't get a new F6 now either. They're bound to loose a heap of dough, plus it is likely that the new model will have a heap more grunt, and more featrures++++. To rub more salt in, the new T will probably be better than the current F6 (compare the last GT to a BA XR8).

My choice would be to modift the current T, or look for a good 2nd hand F6.

Well I have resolved the issue in some err fashion.

Missus gets my T with the brakes fixed nothing else and I take delivery of a new GTS sometime in August.

Think my driveways going to be confused, I went out ot get the F6 but a couple of things swayed me. One the interior just looked old to me (and that's my taste only so don't get riled) and the dealer was unwilling to do anything with the list price, even though the 07 model will be due out soon.

So I have committed heresy but only half stone me to death as I kept my T.
