And no I'm not Jewish and the dilemma is not cheap pork.

Its not a bad one but I cant make my mind up. Come July I'm coming into some cash, that's the good part, the dilemma is what option to go down with my car.

I'm trying to figure out whether to spend money on my BA or go out shopping for a new F6 Typhoon or (dare I blaspheme on this website) a new VE GTS.

Off ebay I have priced:

FORD BA FALCON BIG BRAKES GTHO GT HO FPV GTP $1,999

Ford XR6 BA BF Typhoon F6 Turbo Monza Intercooler Kit $450

FORD FALCON BA BF XR6 TURBO STAINLESS STEEL EXHAUST $1,640

SS Inductions Ford XR6 Turbo Growler Cold Air Induction $499

Bosch 968 440cc Fuel Injectors for Ford XR6 Turbo $659

CAPA Flash Tuner Ford AU BA BF XR6 XR6T XR8 FPV Typhoon $770

WALBRO GSS341 FUEL PUMP BA XR6 TURBO $135

Add labour (because I'm mechanically retarded), custom tuning of say $500 and new wheels/rubber $3500 would bring the spend to $10k at least (I know some of the ebay stuff might not be the correct brand/quality/part etc but as a budgeting guide it's a start).

The alternative is to sell my BA (67K on the clock) and be lucky if I get 20-23k and blow an extra 44k to get the typhoon with auto/brake upgrade/leather or say 54k extra on the GTS. Both options would have to be HP/lease. I have a preference for the F6 cos it's cheaper, but the new HSV looks hot and even though I know a custom tuned F6 would drop it for dead I'm still tempted (I know, I know, I deserve stoning to death for heresy).

If I blow the money on the BA the car would be better but better than a new car? All the mods would certainly not help resale, but your likely to lose 20% of new car value in 12 months.

My brain hurts, meanwhile work is playing second fiddle to my repeated FPV and HSV website searches. Someone just shoot me.

Delete: SS Inductions Ford XR6 Turbo Growler Cold Air Induction $499

Insert: FORD FALCON BA / BF TERRITORY TYPHOON COLD AIR INTAKE $50.00

I went through a similar thing, spend money on current BA or buy new BF Typhoon but decided as I would probably want to do the same mods to new car I might as well save $50K and keep the old car. Either way you lose money, it's just a fact of life with cars. Go with whatever makes you feel good mate.

Your not going to get too many responses on the VE GTS but realistically you have to consider it if its in your budget. Buy the car you like, whoever the I <3 Bananas makes it but id be more in favour of the Phoon.

Or do the mods, it would be alot cheaper and if your still not happy with it, sell it and upgrade later.

Have you driven a 300+rwkw T before?

that might make up your mind :furious:
