No it shouldn't affect the valve. Sounds very strange, can you describe what's happening a bit more. ie. are there any changes in sound and if so describe, what rpm is the problem happening? Is the prob still occurring? Ford have a computer function to check for misses, but you have to ask specifically. This mod should not cause misfiring though.

the car feels like it has more power since I used wd40 on the solenoid value and boost seems to come on earlier but high up in the rev range sometimes the engine losses all power feels just like it would if the engine had hit the rev limiter do u think maybe I damaged the blow off value when I mounted it the wrong way around and what im feeling is the computer cutting the boost

Check all your vacuum lines. Trace the line going from the top of your BOV to where it connects. Make sure you haven't accidently pulled any hoses off.

block both.. bottom 1 is where the air comes from after the throttle shuts... top 1 is where it returns to

Won't that mean no air through it at all then?

o wait.. did u want to take off the BOV or just mod it to get a different sound?

Just a louder sound mate, the way I look at it Ford are cheap pr!cks that arn't gonna put somthing there unless they have to so I wanna leave it on. If it pisses me off I change it back it's $10 no biggy. An as for the boy's in blue pulling me over, they do anyway! so why bother trying to please them.
