He is dead right.I had a 3000rpm converter in mine and it could flare to 3300rpm but it would limp out as soon as I launched.Phase 3 is right that anything over 2800 rpm will most probably limp out with out the EDIT.

By the way.I dropped almost half a second with the converter on a 2700 rpm launch.

With no edit on the auto and a 3000 rpm hi-stall its a good chance it may go into limp home mode, also the torque truncation may prevent him from leaving the line hard..

Good luck Steve, I hope you don't have the same issues we had with our Boss powered cars before edit allowed us to run a decent hi-stall.

it did something funny when I stalled it up to 3000 the other day for a split second and I just backed of slightly and every thing seemed ok but it didnt go into limp home mode.Got me worried now rod I have to look into.

Steve you can keep your current tune and use a flash box to do the auto settings only.

Downside is you have to buy a box, they seen to be getting cheaper, with VCM now openly doing FORDS in Beta the flash boxes will only get cheaper.

put on the mickey thompsons today and tried to launch at 3000rpm and it had what I would describe as a hiccup(died momnentaully then picked up)but didnt go into limp mode.the best I can do is launch at 2700rpm as you did.hope to give it ago friday night weather permitting.

Went to calder last night and not happy with the result,I had a best ever 60 ft of 1.898(only just)but the et was only 12.789 .the car seems to be down on power as I could only manage 108 mph all night.it looks like im going to have to ditch the uni-jip for a flash tuner to resolve the stall issues and update the tune.does any one else have the aps stage 11 kit with a flash tuner and what power did they have before and after.

that hiccup is the auto torque tags, that can be fixed through the flash tuner

flasher tuner and bigger intercooler is the way to go im thinking of maybe going down the aps stage111 kit path with a flash tuner and some new valve springs.
