You can buy little rubber blocks from auto pro that fit between the gaps in the springs. When you fit them and lower the car back down off the jack, they don't let the spring compress fully and make the car ride higher.

I used to have a fairmont ghia that spat sparks out the back over small bumps in the road when I drove it but I got numerous canaries off using them blocks. Just get them as high up the spring as you can so they cant easily be spotted and you'll be right :stirthepot:

I'm pretty sure that Ford use spring chocks while the cars are transported to the dealer. These are removed in pre-delivery so you might be able to get some lying around at your local Ford dealer.

How much height do you need? You can try pumping your tyres up to some very high pressure. Not sure if this will work with lower profile tyres though.
