Just a lot of people procrastinating. I've been talking to howertons and have an order to make, just working out the size of the jets tonight. The bottom line is water/meth is a big unknown for our cars so we need pioneers I'm only interested due to living in Darwin and having a desire to lower intake temps. I'm not really after getting any more octane out of it. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

Here in the Nth we use it mainly for keeping intake temps down and as a knock deterrent but tunes can be made with more timing for drag use. If you want me to put you onto someone who knows these cars like no other with the experience in water/meth injection also then PM me as I don't like to scalp people from Pete as he is a good friend and the TMS fellas... I want a 50/50 mixMy Boost is 18 psi – pump is 165psi so I get 147psi on the chart. If I get a 1.2mm jet it appears that 147psi would give me 575ccThat is very much the lower end of the 15-20% range. I'm not sure if it is better to have closer to 20% or 15%. I’ll be on only 15.21% with a 1.2mm jet. If I wanted 20% then I would need two jets. It falls between the 0.8mm and 0.9mm jet sizing if I had two and split it. So I asked Jeff if one 1.2mm jet will meet my needs or did I need to have two 0.9mm jets?He replied saying:A rough rule of thumb we use is 1.5 x the HP. So for 515hp you'd need 772cc. If it were me I'd go two jets. You can also raise the pump to 180psi if you must use just one jet.If you do two, you can do them 75-150mm apart and clocked 90 degrees for best results. That all said, if you are in high humidity the stronger concentration of meth you can run the better. Water controls knock in the cylinders, it doesn't cool intakes well. Meth super cools intakes and also burns a little cooler than gas. "................................. End quoteSo I'm not sure what to do now. Two jets would be hard to fit.I thought that water cooled more than meth. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

Oops - just picked up that this is a 2007 thread. Anyway, keep me posted if there's a current group Buy at any time.Methanol is methylated spirits. Bunnings sells metho in 20L drums for $62. Don't forget the lemon juice ;-) I used water (no alcohol) injection on a Datsun fitted with e Garrett turbo years ago. It worked a treat. It pinged its head off when the bottle emptied. The turbine blade tips looked like they'd been chewed by rates and boost dropped off. I suspect that "Eddy the Expert" (me) drilling out the water jet may have caused this. The strong jet hitting the blades caused wear? Boost and grunt dropped off. If my suspicions are correct, be careful not to squirt strong jets of water into the front end of your turbo!IF the Aquamist system shoots a mist, it could be safer. How misty are the systems we're looking at?PAH Edited 03/02/15 12:08 AM by PAH
