I actualy think the sound died down rather than me adjusting to it..but if I had a ute.. I'd get a side exhaust coming out of the rear side skirt. then it will be loud =)I've seen 2 ba utes with this done so far. Technically it's not legal within NSW but also it would sound like crap. Youshould just remove the center muffler if you are heading in that direction if not save some pennies and get a qualoty exhaust which would be of more benefit Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/35412-no-mufflers/page/2/#findComment-576763 Share on other sites

(50) I have centre mufflers removed and tried rear muffler removed for a while, sounded sh!t hot idling at the lights, but just a bit too much drone on the highway for me , so now I have two small sports mufflers (one each side) on the back, and I reckon its just right Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/35412-no-mufflers/page/2/#findComment-577372 Share on other sites

Two mates have gone this track with BA XR8s and removed the mufflers - now they sound the way a V8 should.
