It's not as hard as all that - geez some people blow things up out of proportion.

How about this, I'll give you a hand taking it out but it will cost you a carton of really good beer.

It can be easily cut out with a grinder, some cutting discs and a lot of care.

I'm more than happy to teach you how to do it.

Stock up on some old clean cotton rags and some tape - easy enough to cover everything up where the sparks will most likely fly etc etc etc. Most likely unbolt the seats and get em out, plus cover up all the door trims (or take em off).

I'm in the St George area - give me a call and we'll do it next weekend on Sat (not this weekend, next weekend).

Put aside 5 hours.

Actually, make that 2 cartons of really good beer.

cheers

Can't wait to say I told you so.

Have you ever used an angle grinder or welder whilst wearing a cotton shirt? Cotton rags burn really well.

I am serious all the plastic crap inside a car is highly flammable, the carpet, everything.

If you really are that foolish wet the rags first and have a CO2 fire extinguisher nearby, and a handy cam so you can make a few bucks from the silliest home video show....goodluck.

Yeah no worries. They don't burn that well that the thing goes straight up in smoke. Of course I've worn a cotton shirt whilst using a grinder or welder. Surely most people that work with metal don't wear wool shirts all day.

Sure is better than wearing a polyester one which would stick to your skin and burn real nice.

C'mon now lets someone in 2 pages of posts give the guy a hand instead of all telling him he's a fool or all the other positive comments. Wetting the shirts a bit and having a fire extinguisher nearby is good advice so will not be ignored.

And while the seats are out, remove the centre console and then the carpet comes straight out. 70% of dangerous materials removed. Cover up the doors and all you really have to worry about is the headliner.

The only video that would be made would be the successful removal of the cage - not a fricken fire.

he he some classic answers!! Yeah a car tends to get pretty butchered once the cage is welded in huh.

Looks like our friend may have organised a swap with someone who needs a cage so things are looking up.

No FIRES!!
