Roll Cage Removal

Hi All,

bought a xr6t (cheap) last week, used to be owned by Spiko of this forum and has a roll cage in it that I want to remove.

just wondering who I can try to call that can do a good job removing the cage.

I am Sydney .. Parramatta area.

That cage is welded in u have to cut it with a grinder, will be a messy job

If your not capable u have to find a panel or mechanical shop that would take it on

I would speak to C&V as they used to look after Spiko's car.

I am sure they could point you in the right direction to the people who installed it.

It would be better to get the people who put it in to remove it.

I'll end up grinding the car in half !

mate .. I work with computers, you can ask me to setup a computer network with mail server, print and file sharing and I can do it with my eyes closed.

when I comes to cars .. forget it.

I would bet the carpet, dash ane rear parcel shelf are cut to fit the cage in.

To remove it without having experience will cause more damage, unless you know how to use a grinder.

I guess this is why it was cheap, as it is a major PIA to return to stock.
