the old nos works good on a turbo car, with amounts like that, around 50 shot, you get a 3times jump in power (150hp)

David

could u explain more how a 50 shot gains a 150hp gain im a tad confused... :msm:

o and congrats to both car owners, those times are awesome for the work done!!

by freezing the inlet air, which is a turbo cars worst enemy,

see how your car goes better on a cold night, well this cools a lot more then that.

you get a gain on a N/A car as well, but on a turbo car you get all the boosted air frozen as well,

which is normaly a compromise because of all the heat that is made by the turbo,

a n/a car goes better when the weather is cold, but a tenth or two is all that is expected,

a turbo car can gain a second because of the cold,

David

ok thanks.

so people installing NOS on assisted cars should be aware that a "small 50 shot" is alot more than they think their gunna get.... I bet a few have blown motors becuase of this!!

that's it. but unless you have a built bottom end I wouldnt be attempting it :bsflag:

So what would this car be expecting to run without NOS?

The reason I ask is because I am planning similar mods but without the gas.

3 weeks ago at Calder he was playing and run 10.83@116mph the lower MPH is him on the brakes he was trying to stay over 11.00 so he didn't get kicked out for no cage.

So now the cage has to go in..and the car will be run at full weight..
