I had mine tuned the other week, got up to 267 rwkw but had to tune it down to 255 and even this can play up if I give it a boot full.

hey there another blacktrack car

I guess you got the same mods as me as your peak power is 1kw off mine

my valve springs maxed at 268.4 and my car was detuned to 260

trailing off boost, and idle behaving like a pogo!

Mine has none of this.... If I get it up on a dyno will, they be able to tell me if im getting valve bounce/float?

The dyno is the surefire way of noticing this problem. It is the safest method.

I noticed mine on the street with generics in, cold nights or first thing in the morning. If I gave it a bashing it would cough and weez for about 60sec

everyone has to remember, these items were made by ford to handle the factory power out-puts, no more, everything is made to a budget thesedays, as mentioned plenty of times before, you play you pay...

I get a funny idle immediately after doing a burnout under load (e.g. in the dry). In the wet... no problems. Is this valve springs or plug gaps closing up?

No sigh of valve spring issues on the dyno with 267rwkw's but clutch was slipping. Detuned to 250 exactly due to clutch.

IH8TOADS this could be valve springs as they don't like holding boost under heavy load, when the engine has to work hard at pushing air in and spent gases out, the stock valve springs will be the weak link...
