Hey guys n girls,

I'm reading that we are starting to see alot of turbo damage done from flakes off the inside of the intake. Just windering what exactly is degrading, is it the pipe work between the air intake and throttle body? If so, are there aftermarket ones available or is it more of a custom jobby to run the pipe work.

Cheers

Josh

Get it sandblasted to make sure there is NO coating to flake off, or there are many types of aftermarket piping to use as well.

For the stock piping, is it mainly the inside of the cast crossover piece that is the concern right?

jcooke, as for aftermarket piping kits, there are a number of alternatives ready to go as Ninka said. You could start with Plazmaman, though its not cheap.

on my crossover I noticed alot of paint residue on the ends where you attach the pipe, on the inside. gave mine a good sanding before I put it back on but I can see how it is touch and go..

The crossover isnt painted inside... but some say the bov can fall apart when used with higher boost.

yup miss ally's did, that's what prompted me to ask bout this issue. Previous owner got the whole intake chromed, I guess this would alleviate this issue?
