Got the car booked into an auto electritian on wednesday so will let you know what happens. Didn't want to pay mega bucks but he said he would do the best by me so heres hoping.

cheers mate, keep me posted. I was gonna book into ford at start of july for inspection only and then do the work meself but let me know how you go.

The mixing of hot/cold air is done by a motor internal to the HIM module!

However it is retractable, and if you have a look at the attached photos, you can see the white motor shaft which pushes onto the shaft on the opposite side (circled in RED).

Check that the white motor shaf extension is pushed fully into the HIM module, so that it is more or less flush with the surface, and it should be engaged properly.

On Dual Zone CC, this is the shaft which is split into 2, so that the 2 sides can be controlled independently (they obviously have 2 servo motors).

thankyou heaps ninka, will get on me back again this weekend and see how I go. hopefully can see/feel this little gear without pulling the car to bits.
