Below is a list of points about this "new" offer, which I know nothing about. The Prestige Novated Leases Offers:* Choice of vehicle to suit your needs for exclusive use* Use pre-tax dollars to lease and operate a car* Save thousands on the purchase price* Single monthly payments smoothes out vehicle expenses* Fleet rates on running costsDoes anyone know how much discount there is through this lease option on XR's and FPV's?Cheers,Goran

Just email a few dealer's fleet sales dept and they'll have a quote back to you within the day.As a guide, your driveaway price (including a couple options, stamp duty and dealer delivery) will usually come in close or under the RRP. With a novated lease, your financed amount is less GST and you pay GST on each lease payment which you then get back via your employer as an input tax credit.Suffice to say I would NEVER buy a brand new car, but have now novated leased several cars. It is particularly viable if you do 25000km plus in year. Get something which doesn't depreciate too quickly and you get a bonus at residual time as well.Mark

Not sure if this will be an option for pre-owned cars but iw would be nice as some of the low kms and under 12 months old cars are going for cheap, especuially Ford and FPV due to the resale. Will wait and see what they say at the seminar. Guest Guests Posted 21/05/07 06:42 AM Share Posted 21/05/07 06:42 AM My experience is that you'll get a much better discount on a run of the mill Falcon than you will on a XR6T or F6.They know they can sell the T's & FPV's anyway.Your discount should equate to approximately the same amount as your on road costs. Least that's how it worked out for me. Be careful though - I changed employer after 12 months and my T had depreciated so much my new employers lease company wouldn't take over the lease. Cost me a motza to pay it out. Bonus to that was I can now play with it (ie EDIT & mods) to my hearts content.cheers

The best thing I've ever done! Saves me a absolute bucket load on tax and I got the ute I love! It cost me $39k (Auto) with the luxury pack on roads. If you are going a XR get the luxury pack! Looks and it heaps better ( Like the FPV or GHIA)And because I'm on the lease my insurance is dirt cheap. I'm 21 and my insurance is only $735 a year! Brilliant! In November 2006 my payout figure was $18500k. I sold it privately (and quickly) for $27k, giving me a $8k profit over residual. If I'd bought a brand new one for $6k more, I'd be lucky to make $3K after paying out the residual and even less if I'd optioned it up.I calculated, that including my profit on residual, that ownership of my T for 25 000kms a year inc all running costs with a novated lease cost me about $150 a week in after tax dollars. Good value IMHOMake sure that your car has well under 100 000kms at the end of the lease as its easier to sell for a decent price.

Going by your above figures the lease cost you about $200/week over 3 years, sound about right?By all running costs, do you mean service, fuel and insurance? Or was it service and insurance only?Cheers
